Adapter Plate Kit – APPS12A
For replacing a PanelMate® 4000/5000 TouchPanel unit with a

Introduction

This Adapter Plate Kit (APPS12A) allows you to mount a PanelMate ePro PS 12" display unit
(7685T-12 series) in a location previously occupied by a PanelMate Power Series 4000/5000
TouchPanel unit (45xx/55xx series) or a PanelMate Power Pro 5000 TouchPanel unit (55xx/57xx
series).
This Adapter Plate Kit includes the following items:

1 Adapter Plate
•
1 Gasket
•
18 #10-32 Star Nuts
•
18 #10 Washers
Required Tools: Torque driver with 3/8" socket

Installation

Follow the steps below to properly assemble and mount the Adapter Plate Kit.
1. Attach the gasket to the adapter plate. With the paper side facing the plate, align the outside
edge of the gasket with the outside edge of the plate. Attach the gasket by peeling the
protective paper from the gasket, exposing the adhesive, a few inches at a time.
2. Mount the PanelMate ePro PS unit to the adapter plate. Place the PanelMate ePro PS unit face
down on a clean work surface. Avoid any objects or motion that could scratch the front panel.
Guide the plate onto the unit. Secure the plate by installing the nuts and washers provided with
the unit.
Note: The torque limit for these studs is 15 inch-pounds for #10-32 nuts.
3. Install the adapter plate with the attached unit into the existing panel opening and secure it with
the #10 washers and locking nuts provided with this kit.
Note: The torque limit for these studs is 20 inch-pounds for #10-32 nuts.
CARE SHOULD BE EXERCISED WHEN TIGHTENING THE NUTS. THE FASTENERS MUST BE
TIGHTENED ENOUGH TO OBTAIN A PROPER SEAL, BUT NOT TIGHTENED TO THE POINT WHERE
THE THREADS ARE STRIPPED OR THE GASKET IS OVER COMPRESSED AND RENDERED
USELESS.
