1. OUTLINE
OF MECHANISM

This
mechanism
is
named
P-90
Mechanism,
Its
features
include :
(1) The chassis
is fabricated
by drawing
a 1.6mm
thick
electric
zinc
plated
steel
sheet,
and
mechanical
parts
are ingeniously
laid on this
chassis.
The
mechanism
is as thick
as 70.3 mm.
(2) After
insertion
of
a
cassette,
the
tape
is
normally
wound
to the
head drum
based on
the full
loading
system. This design
results
in
the shortening
of the mode shift
time, that
is,
the
time
from
the
depression
of
the
PLAY
pushbutton
switch
to the video
image display
on screen
has been significantly
quickened.
(3) The full loading
system employed
has the F/R
search capability
(when the same button (F.FWD
or REW) is pressed in the F.FWD or REW modes,
the search mode playback image appears on the
screen).
(4) Also, a thin
type
head drum
without
lead is
provided
to increase
the operating
convenience
of the equipment
to a considerable
extent.

FULL
LOADING
MECHANISM
(1) Description
of full
loading
mechanism
As shown
in Fig. 1-1 a tape has hitherto
been
wound
onto
the head drum
only in the PLAY
and F/R
SEARCH mode, but
in this
radically
new mechanism,
in every
mode can be made
with the tape kept wound
onto the head drum.
(2)
Features
of full
loading
mechanism
With
the
provision
of
the
full
loading
mechanism,
the
operating
convenience,
which
was hitherto
a drawback
of the VHS system,
has
been
improved.
A host
of
other
salient
features
are also designed
into this mechanism
as apparent
from
the following
description.
1.
Cluick playback
Mode shift
time such as the STOP+PLAY
and
FF/REW+PLAY
has been shortened
for quicker
playback.

The time
from
the
detection
of
VISS search
signal
based on the VHS standardized
search
system
till
image
display
on the
screen
has
motor

mode selection

to make high-speed
