Turning off the computer

Registering your computer online

The first time you use your computer, you will be prompted to
complete and mail the registration card or to register your
computer with Toshiba online.
To register your computer online at a later time, double-click the
icon provided on the desktop and follow the instructions on the
screen.
Registering your computer lets Toshiba keep you up-to-date with
information about new products and upgrades and also extends
your Toshiba warranty worldwide at no charge to you. See the
registration card and warranty information for details about
warranty options available from Toshiba.

Setting up other devices

You may want to take this time to set up your printer. For more
information, see
Turning off the computer
It's generally a good idea to turn off your computer when you are
not using it.
If you are using the computer for the first time, leave the computer
plugged into a power source (even though the computer is off) to
fully charge the main battery. With the computer off, it may take
up to three hours to recharge the main battery.
Guidelines for turning off the computer:
If you have work in progress and aren't connected to a
network, use the Windows Standby command to save your
system settings to memory so that, when you turn on the
computer again, you automatically return to where you left
off.
