    Getting Started Using your computer for the first time A dialogue box appears prompting you to personalize your ® copy of the Windows 2000 Professional operating system. Type your name and company in the appropriate boxes, then click Next. You will be asked to name your computer and assign an Administrator password.

    Getting Started Connecting to the Internet If you prefer, you can set up your Internet connection later. At the bottom of the Getting Started with Windows 2000 screen there is a box labeled “Show this screen at startup.” The check mark in the check box indicates that this screen will appear each time you start your system.

Because the state of the system is held on the hard disk, no data is lost if the battery discharges while the computer is in Hibernation mode.
