Maintenance
Maintenance works other than those described in this manual may only
be carried out by authorised staff.
If you carry out maintenance works not specified below or you deviate
from the prescribed procedures, the functional safety of the instrument
may be endangered.
Besides, this will forfeit your right to claim under warranty.
10.1

Routine maintenance

In the case of longer non-use of the instrument the power of the battery
pack drops by self-discharge.
Caution:
For recharging the battery pack, only use the battery charger and the
charging adapter supplied with the instrument! Battery chargers of
other make or other methods do not necessarily meet the safety
requirements and thus may result in electric shocks to the operator.
The front lens of the camera has a high-grade coating to provide high
IR transmission. It should therefore be treated with due care.
Optical elements should be cleaned by skilled specialists only.
Avoid touching the mirror surfaces with bare fingers.
We recommend, that you wear soft cotton gloves or, even better, latex
fingerstalls without talcum powder when carrying out maintenance and
cleaning work. If the mirror surface is slightly dusty only, simply blow off
the dust particles with clean air. If the surface is very dirty, clean it with
wood-free cotton swab or with Professional Wipes Kleenex® moistened
with ethanol (96% - Dust Class 0).
10.2

Other maintenance work

Depending on the workload of the camera, we recommend a regular
biannual maintenance of the system by our service.
