Alignment

Pay attention to two fundamental points when installing the linear motor axis in your machine frame.
The more mounting holes you use to fasten the linear motor axis to the machine frame, the more precise the verti-
cal alignment of the slider will subsequently be during operation.
The outer contour of the linear motor axis must not be used as alignment reference for movement accuracy. The
base profile is an aluminum extrusion, the internal functional surfaces of which have been additionally machined.
All external surfaces are left unfinished. For this reason, these edges are not suitable as edges for alignment of the
product.

cases.
In order to align the linear motor axis correctly, tighten several mounting screws slightly and align the axis to your
application direction using a rubber mallet by gently striking the outside of the base profile until both curves (linear
motor axis and your application direction) are in line.

Electrical Integration

In order to achieve the best results in terms of EMC, make sure that there is as much distance as possible between
the encoder cable and the power cable in the cable chain.
The cables may be crossed, but should not be routed or laid closely together in a parallel orientation.

Ambient Working Conditions

In order to meet accuracy and lifetime requirements, you must always operate the R88L-EA-AF linear axis within
the following ambient operation conditions:
Item
Ambient working temperature
Ambient working humidity
Make sure to leave the system in the prevailing ambient working conditions for at least 8 hours before operating.
