Configuring the drive unit

The following components are required to assemble the drive unit used in this ex-
ample:
S Active line module
S Motor module
S Synchronous motor (e.g. 1FK6) with sensor (for servo control variant)
S Induction motor (e.g. 1PH7) with sensor (for vector control variant)
To assemble the drive unit components, proceed as follows:
1. In the project navigator, open the SINAMICS_CU320 directory and double-click
the element Configure drive unit (see Fig. 3-12).
As you can see in Fig. 3-13, the STARTER opens a Wizard for configuring the
drive unit components.

2. In this example, use an uncontrolled SINAMICS infeed (active line module).
Confirm the default setting Yes by choosing Continue >.
Note
When you use an uncontrolled SINAMICS infeed, choose No and click
Continue >.
