III. Installation procedures
Note:
The parts to be used and the procedure for install-
ing this option depend on the type of the main unit
to which this option is installed. Please go to one
of the following pages that correspond to the type
of your main unit.
• When installing this option to C754/C654: E-3
• When installing this option to C554/C454/C364/
C284/C224: E-5
<When installing this option to C754/C654>
1. Turn off the machine and unplug the power cord
from the power outlet.
2. Remove the user's guide holder from the main
unit.
3. Remove the output tray if it is mounted on the
main unit.
Note:
For the output tray removal procedure, see the
installation manual for output tray OT-503.
4. Attach the mounting bracket F to the mounting
bracket A. (One supplied screw D)
5. Attach the mounting bracket G to the mounting
bracket B. (One supplied screw D)
6. Remove the protective tape of the horizontal
transport unit.

7. Remove the cover shown in the illustration from
the back of the horizontal transport unit. (Two
screws)
