8. STARTING THE PUMP

PROCEDURES TO START AND STOP THE ENGINE

Starting a cold engine

1. Set the throttle trigger (fi g.7, point 1)
approximately to halfway of its path.
2. Repeatedly push down the fuel primer bulb
(3 to 5 presses), until the fuel gets to the
carburettor. (Fig. 7, point 5)
3. Move the choke lever upwards to the "OFF"
position (=air supply turned off, i.e. choke turned
on). (Fig. 7, point 3)
4. Hold the pump on the ground with your left hand
and pull the starting cord with your right hand
(fi g.7, point 4), until the engine is given a spin
(attempting to start up).

At this point, push the choke lever downwards to
the "ON" position (=air supply turned on, i.e. choke
turned off) and start the engine by repeatedly
pulling on the starting cord.
ATTENTION! Spinning the engine for too long with the choke lever in the OFF position will result in fl ooding
of the engine and problems with starting it up.
6. Prior to starting work, leave the engine to warm up for a few minutes to get up to operating temperature.

Starting a warm engine

1. Set the throttle trigger (fi g.7, point 1) approximately to halfway of its path.
2. Pull on the handle of the starting cord until the engine starts up. DO NOT USE THE CHOKE!
ATTENTION! In the event that the fuel in the fuel tank was completely used up, after pouring in fuel, repeat
the steps for STARTING A COLD ENGINE.

Speed control - pumping power control

To control the engine speed along with the pump output, operate the throttle trigger (fi g.7, point 1).

Stopping the engine

To stop the engine, press the STOP button (fi g.7, point 2).
WARNING!
The engine exhaust fumes contain chemical substances that are harmful to health. Never inhale these fumes.
Always start the pump outside the building.
