Cruise Control

Any given speed above a p p ro x i­
m ately 25 mph (40 km /h) can be
m aintained w ith th e cru ise c o n tro l
by ope ra tin g the sw itch.
1 = S etting (touch sw itch)
A c ce le ra tin g (hold sw itch)
2 = S etting (touch sw itch)
D ecele rating (hold sw itch)
N orm ally the v e h icle is a c c e le ­
rated to the d e sired speed w ith
th e a c ce le ra to r. S peed is set by
b rie fly pu shing th e sw itch to
p o sitio n " 1" o r " 2" , and the
a c c e le ra to r can be released.
The speed can be incre a se d
(e. g. fo r passing) by using the
a c c e le ra to r. As soon as the
a c c e le ra to r is released, the
p re v io u s ly set speed w ill be
resum ed a u to m a tica lly.
If the set speed is to be in ­
creased o r d e crea se d s lig h tly
(e. g. fo r a d a p tio n to th e flo w
o f tra ffic ), retain sw itch in
p o sitio n " 1" o r " 2 " u n til the
d e sired speed is reached. W hen
th e sw itch is released, th e new ly
set speed rem ains consta nt.
3 = C an ce llin g

" 3 " .
The c ru ise c o n tro l w ill also be
ca n c e lle d if th e b ra ke pedal is
a ctua te d o r if the v e h icle speed
d ro p s on steep g rad es by m ore
than 20°/o b e low th e set speed.
4 = Resume
If the le ve r is b rie fly pushed to
p o sitio n " 4 " w hen d rivin g at a
speed e xce e d in g 25 mph
(40 km /h) th a t speed is resum ed
w hich w as set p rio r to the ca n ­
c e lla tio n of the cru ise c o n tro l.
The m ost re ce n tly sto re d speed
is ca n c e lle d w hen the key in
the ste e rin g lock is reversed to
p o s itio n " 1 " o r " 0 " .

Please do not use the c ru ise co n tro l
if tra ffic c o n d itio n s do not m ake
it a d visa ble to m a intain a steady
speed, i. e. in heavy tra ffic o r on
tw is tin g o r slick and m uddy roads.
P o sitio n " R esum e" sh o u ld be
a p plie d o n ly if the d riv e r is fu lly
aw are o f th is speed and w ishes
to resum e th is p a rtic u la r preset
speed.
W hen d riv in g w ith the cru ise
co n tro l, th e s e le c to r lever m ust not
be sh ifte d to p o sitio n " N " as o th e r­
w ise the en g ine w ill speed up.
Controls
