Safety instructions
• M ake sure that this system is simply and
solely used by trained staff.
• A lways firstly check the temperature of the
water before the hand­held shower is used on
the resident / patient.
• W hen using disinfectants, always wear plastic
gloves and eye protection.
• I f the disinfectants come into contact with
the eyes or skin, always follow the guidelines
on the packaging of the disinfectant and the
safety instructions.
Washing
• U se the white hand­held shower to wash the
patient.
• A djust the temperature, turn on the shower
tap, and regulate the jet of water using the
black button on the hand­held shower. Check
the temperature prior to the jet of water being
used on the patient.
• F or safety reasons, make sure that all taps
are turned off again after use. Then press the
black button on the hand­held shower again to
depressurise the hose.

Disinfecting
• U se the red hand­held shower for disinfecting.
• M ake sure that the flow meter is properly
adjusted.
• B eforehand, clean the surfaces that are to be
disinfected and dry these before disinfecting
them.
• O pen the safety tap, open the disinfectant tap
and regulate the jet of water using the black
button on the hand­held shower.
• F or safety reasons, pay particular attention
to ensuring that, following use, all taps are
turned off. Then press the black button on the
hand­held shower again to depressurise the
hose.
• A llow the disinfectant to sink in for the
recommended amount of time and then rinse
the equipment that has been disinfected using
water.
Adjusting the flow meter
• T he flow meter has to be adjusted before
using the shower for the first time, and each
time that a different type of disinfectant is
going to be used.
• T he flow meter makes sure that the correct
mixture ratio between disinfectant and water
is achieved.
• T he instructions for use outline a method of
adjusting this.

Replenishing
• T he soap pumps can be replenished by
removing the pump located at the top and
pouring in the substance.
• T he soap pumps can also be replenished
by opening the protective cap, unscrewing
the reservoirs, replenishing these, and then
retightening them.
• T he reservoir containing disinfectant can be
replenished using the same disinfectant that
has already been used, or has to be replaced
with a new reservoir if a different disinfectant
is going to be used.
• R eplenishment can take place by unscrewing
the cap with the hose from the reservoir,
replenishing the reservoir, and then screwing
the cap with the hose back on. Always use
means of personal protection.
Cleaning
• F requent cleaning of the outside of the Amfora
is recommended in respect of hygiene and the
lifetime of the equipment.
• C heck periodically that there is a sufficient
amount of disinfectant in the reservoir.
• R egularly check the condition of the various
hoses and connections for porosity and
leaking.
