VII. PLANNED MAINTENANCE
STORAGE
Remove dirt from all truck components and then perform the following:
1. lnspect for oil leakage.
2 , lnspect each component for warping, scratches, dents or cracks.
3. Clean the lubricate parts as required.
4. Move the forks all the way up and down to lubricate the inside of the lift cylinder.
5. If you sensed anything unusual during operation, notify the supervisor.

WARNING
Even a small malfunction can cause a serious accident.
Do not operate the truck until repairs have been completed.

WEEKLY MAINTENANCE
lnspect the items below in addition to the pre-operation items. Have necessary
adjustments or replacements performed at your Toyota dealer
lnspect the trucks thoroughly to insure safety and pleasant working conditions.
Lack of proper lubrication and servicing will quickly show up in increased troubles
and shortening of truck life.
Set up a certain day and make it a rule to inspect on that day. Record all inspection
results and file them for future reference.
Perform the following inspection together with before-operation inspection.
Inspection item
1. Check motor electric
wiring.
2. Check battery.
3. Check the cylinder rod
end.
Weekly [40 hour] inspection
The above items are concerned with inspection and lubrication. Replacement of
lubricants will depend on the amount of contamination and foreign matter in
them. Changes should be made to conform with the conditions of your
workplace and equipment.
Inspection point
Check loosening at connections at the motor and
retighten if loose.
Check for any damage on insulation covering.
Check battery fluid level and specific gravity.
Check loosening at cylinder rod end. Retighten tie
rod end set bolt if loose
4. Tighten bolts and nuts.
5. Grease up.
Check bolts and nuts for tightness. Retighten
where required.
Grease all greasing points, king pins, rear axle
center pin cap, etc.
