If you fail to enter the correct code, the following message will
be displayed:
Incorrect Code Entered — You are prompted to try again.
After failing, your CM5000 will be blocked. Please check with
your Service Provider how many failed attempts are allowed.

Change Code

From the main menu, select > Security > Change Code
The default PIN code is 0000.
At the Input Code prompt, enter the 4-digit code. If the old
code does not match the entered code at verification, the
display prompts you to re-enter the old code.
If the entered code matches the old code, the display
prompts you to enter a new 4-digit code and to repeat it for
confirmation. If the confirmation code does not match the
new code, the display prompts you to re-enter the new code.
When the new code is accepted, the display shows
Code Accepted and returns to the Security sub-menu.

Locking/Unlocking the Keypad

To prevent accidental key/button presses:
1. Press the Menu button and then
From the main menu, select > Security > Keylock
2. To unlock the keypad, press the Menu button, and then

When there is an incoming call and the keypad is locked, you
can still use the PTT, Off Hook and On Hook key.
The Emergency button is not locked. Entering Emergency
Operation unlocks all keys.
