Replacing the system fans

CAUTION!
The system fans are non-redundant, you have to replace the defective
system fan immediately.
Ê Open the server as described in the
Figure 19: Removing the system fan
Ê Remove the system fan cable of the defective system fan from the corre-
sponding adapter connector (see the circle).
Ê Push the locking bar in direction of the arrow and remove the system fan by
pulling upward.
Ê Insert the new system fan. Push it down until it engages. Make sure that the
cable has been routed in the right way.
Ê Plug the system fan cable on the adapter connector.
Ê Close the server and connect all power plugs (for a detailed description see
the Options Guide).
