Main switch/steering lock

The main switch/steering lock controls
the ignition and lighting systems, and is
used to lock the steering and is used to
open the seat also. The various position
are described below.
TIP :
The main switch is equipped with a key
cover. (see page 3-2 for opening and
closing prosedure)
ON
All electrical systems are supplied with
power, and the meter lighting comes
on, and the engine can be started. The
key cannot be removed.

L OCK
OF F
All electrical systems are off. The key
can be removed.
LOCK
T he steering is locked, and all electrical
systems are off. The key can be re-
moved.
To lock the steering
1. T urn the handlebars all the way to
the left.
2. P ush the key in from the "OFF "
sition, release it, and then turn it
to "LOCK"
3. R emove the key.

To unlock the steering
Insert the key in, and then turn it to
" OF F ".
WARNING
Never turn the key to "OFF" or
" LOCK " while the motorcycle is
moving, otherwise the electrical
systems will be switched off, which
may result in loss of control or an
po-
accident. Make sure that the motor-
cycle is stopped before turning the
key to " OFF " or " LOCK " .
