VIII-MAINTENANCE
The user is strongly advised to enter into an
annual maintenance contract with the installer
or a specialist company. In this way, the
equipment and the installation will be checked
andcleaned, theburner will be set correctly, and
theunit will give full satisfaction. It will operate
in a most economical manner.
Cleaning the flue
Have your flue swept regularly, at least once
each year. Check for leaks in the smoke pipe.
Emptying
Emptying the cylinder and the boiler is vital if
there is any risk of frost. For the boiler, use a
drainage tap located in its lower section.
If you are often away, have anti-freeze put in
the installation.
Recommendation
Check the water pressure in the installation
regularly.
The value indicated on the gauge must not be
less than 1 bar cold.
Operations to be carried out:
- Open the fire-box plate
- Have your chimney swept regularly, at
least once each year.
- Put a brush in horizontally and brush the flue
- Brush the interior of the fire-box and remove
deposits and dust from the
pipe and in the fire-box.
Combustion characteristics
Aftereachtimetheburneriscleaned,thecombustion
regulator is checked with measuring and control
instruments.
It is necessary to ensure that:
- the flow of fuel is not greater than that indicated
- the flamedoes not lickthewalls of the combustion
chamber
- the temperature of fumes is between 180ºC and
220ºC
- the CO
content is from 11 to 13% - the fume

index is less than 1
- the burner has to operate in a proper manner
without pulsation and without coughing.
- Possibility of using chemical cleaners with
spray products.
- Clean and check the burner, following the
instructions in the technical l e a f l e t
accompanying the equipment.
- Replace the parts. Check thoroughly for leaks
flapinthesmoke
in the front plate.

ATTENTION!
Before any intervention, cut off the current to
the boiler by means of the main switch.
The overheating thermostat is triggered: check
water fill, the operation of the circulator, and
the regulator thermostat.
A warninglightontheburnerislit:thebreakdown
arisesfromtheburner. Wait someminutesand
reset the control relay located at the front of
the burner. If nothing happens, call your
installer or a specialist company.
