Complete the following steps to connect a power supply to the controller:
1.
Verify the power source is turned off. Verify the power source for SYS PWR IN is
between 9 VDC to 30 VDC, 21.6 VDC to 30 VDC when using Power over Ethernet
(PoE), and can provide up to 150 W.
2.
If you are not using a pre-assembled cable, complete the following steps.
a)
Connect the positive lead of the primary power source to the V1 terminal inside the
power connector plug.
b)
Connect the negative lead of the primary power source to one of the C terminals
inside the power connector plug.
c)
Optionally, you can connect the positive lead of another power supply to the V2
terminal and the negative lead to the other C terminal.
d)
Assemble the rest of the plug sleeve. Go to
317xIP67Connector for instructions.
3.
Install the power connector into SYS PWR IN on the front panel of the controller.
4.
Turn on the external power source(s).

Connecting the Isolated Outputs Power Supply

NI recommends the following power supply for the IC-3173 (IP67).
NI PS-15 Industrial Power Supply
Note
The NI PS-15 is not rated IP67.
The following figure shows the isolated power connector.

Caution
The C terminals are internally connected to each other.
