■ Setting for the interlocked connection of
Projectphone systems
Using commercially available stereo mini-plug cables,
connect the AUDIO OUT terminal of each Projectphone
system to the AUDIO IN terminal of another Projectphone
system. The following illustration shows an example of an
interlocked connection of three Projectphone systems
including this system.

In the initial display, select "Menu" → "Settings" →
"Sound Settings" → "External I/O" →

Using the keys on this unit
In the initial display, select "Menu" → "Settings" →
"Sound Settings" → "External I/O" → "Connection(slv)".

■ Configuring the codec
You can select a codec from the following options.
• G.711 Extension
• G.711 µ-law
• G.726-32
• G.729
See "Specifications" (page 55) for details about the
frequency response and the transmission bandwidth for
each codec.
Using the keys on this unit
In the initial display, select "Menu" → "Settings" →
"Sound Settings" → "CODEC".
Using the Web menu
In the Web menu, select "CODEC".
■ Setting the RTP packet size
Use this feature to set the RTP (Realtime Transport
Protocol) packet size for the selected codec.
• G.711 Extension: 20 ms (Default), 40 ms
• G.711 µ-law: 20 ms (Default), 40 ms
• G.726-32: 20 ms (Default), 40 ms
• G.729: 10 ms, 20 ms, 40 ms (Default), 60 ms
Using the Web menu
In the Web menu, select "CODEC". Select the desired
codec and "RTP Segment Size" settings.
■ Setting the QoS
Use this feature to activate or deactivate the QoS (Quality
of Service) control function. The default setting is
"Disable".
Using the Web menu
In the Web menu, select "QoS".
• Set "ToS" to "Enable" to activate ToS (Type of
Service) and select the desired precedence setting.
• Set "CoS" to "Enable" to activate CoS (Class of
Service) and select the desired precedence setting. You
can also set VLAN-ID.
■ Configuring the silence suppression

You can suppress packet output when no sound is input at
the microphone of this unit.
Select "Disable" to deactivate this function. The default
setting is "Enable".

"Sound Settings" → "Silence Suppress".
Using the Web menu
In the Web menu, select "Silence Suppression".
