Update from 340490-03 / 340491-03 to -04 or higher

Press EMERGENCY STOP
Reboot the control
Press and hold the blue "DEL" key on the ASCII keyboard when the "HeROS SYS ..." booting sequence appears on
the screen
Hold the blue "DEL" key on the ASCII keyboard until the text "Welcome to HeROS ..." appears on the screen
Enter the word "service" in the "Username:" input field
Press the "ENT" key
The "NC-Software-Update" menu appears and the cursor is placed on "Select Software"
Press the "ENT" key
Place the cursor on the desired NC software version
Follow the menu navigation and start the installation of the NC software version
Delete the "MPNAME.MP" file
The adapted "MPNAME.MP" file is generated
Control the newly installed NC software version
If the manufacturer of your machine uses an encrypted PLCE partition, the error message "PLC program
not compiled" is displayed after the loading of the machine and customer data.
In this case carry out the steps (See "PLCE partition", page 39) additionally required if the encrypted
PLCE partition is used.
HEIDENHAIN recommends deleting the NC software versions from the TNC partition after
successful installation.
