Troubleshooting - Test G, Gets Too Cold

1. Perform the "Diagnostic Pre-checks".
2. Inspect for proper position of the capillary tube.
Is the capillary tube fully inserted into the pocket in the
evaporator plate?
Yes: Go to next step.
No: Reposition the capillary tube, test unit.
3. Disconnect wires from the thermostat.
Did the unit stop running?
Yes: Replace the thermostat (6).
No: Go to next step.
4. Remove unit from its enclosure, leave power connected.
5. Disconnect thermostat wires at the control module terminals C
and T.
Did the unit stop running?
Yes: Repair the shorted wires between the thermostat (6)
and the control module, test unit.
No: Replace control module, test unit.

Troubleshooting - Test H, Builds Frost Inside

1. Perform the "Diagnostic Pre-checks".
2. Check thermostat setting (5 is the factory setting).
3. Inspect door seal, hinges, and latch for proper operation.
4. Repair as needed, test unit.
5. Remove unit from its enclosure, leave power connected.
6. Confi rm tape that holds in the foam plug is secure and installed
properly.

Troubleshooting - Test I, Runs But Does Not Cool
Properly
1. Perform the "Diagnostic Pre-checks".
2. Remove the unit from its enclosure leaving the DC power
supply connected. Inspect the condenser coil (11) for air fl ow
obstruction.
Is the air fl ow through the condenser coil obstructed?
Yes: Remove obstruction, clean as needed.
No: Go to next step.
3. With the thermostat (6) on setting "5", verify that condenser fan
is running.
Is the fan running?
Yes: Replace cooling unit
No: Go to next step.
4. Check for 12 VDC at the positive terminal "+" of the control
module.
Is the voltage correct?
Yes: The fan has failed, replace cooling unit.
No: Replace control module.

Troubleshooting - Test J, Will Not Run

1. Perform the "Diagnostic Pre-checks".
2. Check the DC fuse.
Is the fuse intact?
No: Replace fuse. Test unit.
Yes: Go to next step.
3. Is wiring to refrigerator at least 12 AWG (required)?
Yes: Go to next step.
No: Refer to Installation Manual for recommended wire
size.
4. Is voltage below 11.3 VDC at compressor module?
Yes: Recharge or replace battery.
No: Correct high resistance (voltage drop) in supply circuit.
