7. SENSOR CONFIGURATION

After installing the gateway in the field, you should check which sensors are within the signal range. This activity
is performed using the WEG IoT Platform and the WEG Motor Scan app.
The steps to set up the sensors can be viewed directly in the app and in the below instructions.
a) Log in to the Platform: iot.weg.net
b) In the plant where the gateway was installed, click on the gateway for more details.
c) Go to the "Possible connections" tab. The sensors within the gateway range will be displayed.
Important: These sensors are not sending data to the gateway. They need to be configured (next steps).
d) Write down the name of the sensors. To configure them you must use the mobile app.
e) Select the sensor. The app will download automatically stored data.

f) After the download, you must click the "More" button.
g) On the "More" screen, click "Turn on gateway mode."
This screen will show the option to enable the sensor communication
with the gateway. Click on "Yes".
• After completing the procedures, the sensor will be able to send its data to the gateway.
• Downloading data using a smartphone is still possible; however, with a slight loss of pairing performance
(not affecting the download performance).
• For sensor firmware upgrades, reset, or motor nameplate data editing, you must disable the "Gateway mode"
by undoing the last step of this procedure.
