1.1 Creating and Exporting a gas-net Parameter Data
Record: Brief Description
To create a completely new gas-net parameterization, proceed as follows:
1.
Start GW-BASE from the Windows environment by double-clicking the
lantern icon.
2.
Invoke the GW-GNET+ module by clicking the New – Create gas-net
parameterization tool in the toolbar. Alternatively, select the Tools – New
– Create gas-net parameterization menu item from the main menu.
3.
Select the device type you would like to parameterize in the appearing
dialog and the version number of the device software in the next step.
Choose the existing standard parameterization on which the new parameter
data record shall be based in the following dialog.
After you have confirmed your selection by clicking OK, the GW-GNET+
interface is activated.
4.
The Modules and Linkages window contains a white box with a name and
icon for each module included in the device software. By double-clicking
this box you activate a dialog listing all parameters that belong to the
module concerned.
Adjust the settings according to your requirements.
Important Note:
When completing the parameterization, you have to ensure the consistency of the
data record. gas-net devices are equipped with functional groups, or modules, that
are largely independent of one another. In some cases modules provide other
modules with the values to be processed. For this reason it is important to ensure
that the respective cross-references are correct each time a parameter is edited.
Examples of such linkages are the cross-references in the correction module to
the input channels for pressure, temperature and gas meter information. These
input channels are defined in the system module.
An example: The type of a gas meter input is initially a feature of the input channel
via which the meter is connected and is thus parameterized in the System module.
However, the input information must be forwarded to the Correction module to
enable this module to create the totalizers. For this, for instance, the correction
module needs to know which input value it shall evaluate as gas meter input for
stream 1.
