Auto ND Filter

The ND filter density can now be adjusted
automatically.

Setting auto ND filter

Set the PRESET/VARIABLE
switch B to VARIABLE, and
switch the ND FILTER dial A to
position 1, 2, or 3.
The ND filter mode is set to variable
mode.

Set (CAMERA/PAINT)
[ND FILTER]
FILTER] to ON in the menu.
(auto) appears on the icon
indicating the ND filter value.
b Notes
• Switching the auto ND filter on/off is supported
in variable mode only.
• When the camcorder is in preset mode or when
the ND FILTER dial A is set to CLEAR, the
auto ND filter is disabled.
• When full auto mode is on in variable mode, the
density of the ND filter is adjusted
automatically, even if the auto ND filter is off.
• For details about preset mode and variable
mode, refer to the "To adjust the amount of light
(ND filter)" section in the Operating Guide.
z Tips
• You can assign the auto ND filter ON/OFF
setting to an ASSIGN button.
