  • Page 3 Servicing the VGA Kit The VGA Kit is located on the Dummy CSI Interconnect Board (DSIB) (E) inside the server drawer. This kit allows the connection of a VGA Cable to the DSIB board. Figure 1. Locating the VGA kit WARNING This component is NOT hot-swappable.
  • Page 4 Procedure 1. Unpack the new component on a clean ESD-protected work surface. 2. Open the cabinet front door. 3. Power down the server drawer. 4. Open the cabinet rear door. 5. Disconnect the related cables (rear). 6. Place the Server Drawer in the Servicing Position. 1.
  • Page 5 3. From the front of the cabinet, release the two captive screws securing the server drawer to the cabinet rack (A). Figure 3. Server drawer rack fixture screws 4. Slowly pull the server drawer forward until the rails are fully extended and locked, taking care not to snag or loosen connected cables.
  • Page 6 7. Unlock/Open the Front Cover. 1. Press the 2 locking studs (A) on each side of the server drawer to unlock the front cover. 2. Raise the front cover to an angle of 45°. Figure 5. Front cover raised 8. Remove the Front Cover. Slide the raised front cover upward and remove it.

Loosen the two large screws(A) securing the DSIB to the rear of the server drawer alternatively, beginning with the screwdriver and ending manually.
  • Page 13 2. Carefully pull the board out of the server drawer. mportant The DSIB board is secured to the rear of the server drawer by a tenon-mor tise device. Take care not to damage connectors when removing the board. 14. Servicing the VGA Kit With the T10 TORX screwdriver, unscrew the 4 M3 screws (A) to remove the VGA bracket from the DSIB board.
  • Page 14 16. Install the DSIB. 1. Align the board with the rear of the server drawer. The locking flap(A) on the rear panel of the server drawer enters the dedicated opening in the DSIB board(B). Figure 16. Aligning the DSIB board 2.
  • Page 15 3. Tighten the two large screws(A) alternatively, beginning manually and ending with the screwdriver, until all the connectors are plugged in and the board is locked into place. Figure 18. Locking the DSIB board 17. Connect the VGA Cable Connect the VGA Cable (A) to the ILB board (B). A foolproofing device prevents cabling errors.

The rear left cable bundle comprises the following cables: • PDB_MTB 12V Cable • ILB-PDB 3.3V STBY Cable • LCP-ILB Mixed Cable • ILB-HDX Signal Cable • 2 x ILB-HDX SATA Cable 1. Route the cables as shown in the following figure. mportant Comply with the cable placement shown in the figure.

  • Page 18 c. Step 3: ILB-HDX SATA Cables . Instructions for SATA disks: Connect cables(E) and (F) to the SATA 0 and 1 connectors on the ILB board. To facilitate cable placement, release the second ILB-HDX SATA Cable from the second cable strap. Figure 23.

  • Page 23 22. Return the Server Drawer to the Operating Position. 1. From the front of the cabinet, raise the two thumb levers on the rail assemblies. 2. Push the server drawer fully backward until it is flush with the cabinet rack. 3.
