2-2. Procedure for raidcmd

(1)
Log on the system as a user with administrator privileges. (Ex. Administrator)
* To use this tool, administrator privileges are required.

Enter the following command to see the property of the RAID Controller.
# raidcmd property –tg=rc –c=C <ENTER>
Value "C" shows the number of the RAID Controller confirmed in 1).
In the example below, the number of the RAID Controller is assumed to be "1".
# raidcmd property –tg=rc –c=1 <ENTER>

The following property screen appears. If "Battery Status" is set to "Normal," the
battery is installed normally.

The battery can take the following three status:
Normal
Warning
Not Present: Indicates that no battery is connected to the RAID Controller.
If the battery status is "Not Present", check the connection of the battery control
cable.
The Universal RAID Utility may not recognize the battery discharged fully. If
this occurs, charge the battery for about 30 minutes and reboot the system.
Then check to see if the Universal RAID Utility recognizes the battery again.
It takes about 12 hours to complete the full charge of the battery having been
discharged fully.
Battery refresh may take place if a new battery is installed. The system
operates in the write through mode before the charge-discharge cycle is
completed. Check the battery status again after about 12 hours.
