Don't take measurements or
adjustments when the machine is
running
Don't chuck too short in vise.
Don't cut magnesium-
high danger to fire!
Ensure that the saw blade protective
cover is in the correct position before
you start sawing.
Place workpiece in vise and tighten
vise. The workpiece should be fitted
directly between the jaws without
adding other objects.
Never hold a workpiece just by hand –
the workpiece must firmly be clamped
in the vise (Fig 3).
Fig 3
Do not reach into the cutting area
during cutting operations.
The cutting head must be returned
carefully to its starting position after
cutting.
Coolant system:
Use the coolant facility to keep cutting
temperatures down, reduce friction
and extend the life of your sawblade.
Make sure the cutting liquid is properly
contained to the machine.
Use only water soluble cutting
emulsions and dispose of it in an
environmentally friendly manner.
The coolant flow control valve (Fig 4)
is located on the back of the saw.
Adjust the valve to achieve desired
flow.

Coolant should be changed regularly.
Feeding speed:
Thin-walled materials such as tubes or
thin profiles must be cut with a low
feeding speed.
A new saw blade requires a break-in
period, during which time about half
the normal feeding speed should be
used.

7. Setup and adjustments

General note:
Setup and adjustment work may
only be carried out after the
machine is protected against
accidental starting by pulling the
mains plug.

7.1 Changing sawblade

Disconnect the machine from the
power source.
The sawblade has to meet the
technical specification.
Check sawblade for flaws (cracks,
broken teeth, bending) before
installation. Do not use faulty
sawblades.
Always wear suitable gloves when
handling sawblades.
Remove the screw (A, Fig 5) and
cover plate (B).
Fig 5
Remove the socket head cap screw
(C).
Raise the lower blade guard (E)
upwards (F).
Remove socket head cap screw (G).
Note:
This screw (G) has a left hand thread.
Remove the blade (H) and outer
flange (J).
Place new blade and make sure the
teeth are pointing the cutting direction.
Note:
The flange (J) has a pin (K) that needs
to match up with the correct keyhole
(L).
Place a few drops of lightweight oil on
the blade.
Install parts in reverse order.
Connect to the power source.

7.2 Saw Blade Selection

Take care that the selection of the saw
blade depends on the material and
profile to be cut.

Fine Tooth Pitch:
- For thin wall materials ( tubes and
profiles)
Coarse Tooth Pitch:
- For large cross-sections
- For soft materials (aluminium)
