7. Electrical connection

• A Schuko socket must be available at the installa-
tion site. Maximum distance to Sololift = 1 metre.
• The Sololift is connected by means of the factory-
mounted electric cable with Schuko plug.
• The Sololift incorporates a thermal switch which
cuts out the motor in case of electrical overload
and will automatically cut the motor in again when
the motor temperature has returned to normal.

8. Start-up

1. Check that all pipes and connections are tight.
2. Push the plug into the wall socket.
3. Flush the toilet and check that the pump starts.
If the pump starts, Sololift is ready for use.
If the pump does not start, see section

10. Fault finding.

Note: The toilet must not be used until the Sololift
has been connected correctly.

9. Maintenance

Sololift is practically maintenance-free. However,
regular checks and cleaning will ensure faultless op-
eration and a long operating life.
To prevent unnecessary pumping, it should be
checked that the toilet cistern and possible water
taps are tight.
Note:
• Before starting any maintenance work, the plug
must be pulled out of the wall socket.
• Any repairs that may be required to the electric
motor and other components must only be per-
formed by trained service personnel.
Cleaning the Sololift:
Sololift is normally kept clean through regular flush-
ing of the toilet.
For systems which are used very rarely, occasional
internal cleaning is recommended which is per-
formed as follows:

5. When the Sololift has pumped, flush once again.
Cleaning the toilet, shower and wash basin:
After cleaning the sanitary installations connected,
flush the toilet once more with clean water.
Periods of non-use:
If the Sololift is not going to be used for a long period
of time, it is recommended that the water supply to
all the sanitary installations is disconnected.
10. Fault finding
If the Sololift does not start or pump normally, the
electricity supply of the wall socket should be
checked.
If the electricity supply is OK, clean the strainer as
described in section 11. Cleaning the strainer.
If the fault cannot be remedied, contact your local
distributor or installer.
