Clear/reset module - effects
Following the memory reset, the CP retains the configured MAC address and the IP address.
The CP is therefore immediately ready for downloads using the IP address.
The configuration data is retained on the CPU.
The CPU in the S7 station does not recognize that the CP memory was reset. The CP
changes to the "Stopped (STOP) with error" state (see LEDs (Page 33)). The configuration
data must then be reloaded. You can also initiate this loading from the CPU by cycling power
(OFF > ON).
Reset to factory defaults - effects
After resetting to factory defaults, the CP always retains the factory set MAC address (as
supplied).
The IP address and the configuration data in the CP RAM are deleted. The configuration
data is retained on the CPU.
