2. Preparations

2.1 Inserting/Replacing Battery

The unit requires a 9 V battery (6LR61) for operation. Having a
low battery, the battery icon
proper performance and for safety reasons, it is advisable to
change the battery as soon as possible then.
Attention! Pay attention to the safety notes!
1. Turn the unit off and remove
all test leads from the sockets
before you open the back of
the unit!
2. Loosen the three screws on the
back of the unit and remove the
back part of the housing.
3. Connect the new battery with the
battery clip and put it into the
battery compartment. Pay atten-
tion to the proper polarity of the
battery.
4. Reassemble the housing and
close it with the three screws.
Only use the unit when the
housing has been properly
closed.

2.2 Using Test Leads

Only use the supplied test leads when using the digital multime-
ter. These have an electric strength of up to 600 V. The supplied
test leads have a current carrying capacity of up to 10 A.
