6 - PRO-DIALOG+ CONTROL OPERATION

6.1 - Start/stop control

The HSM operates as soon as power is supplied, the
key of the user interface has no effect.

6.2 - Outside air temperature

The outside air temperature value is required for correct
operation of the HSM. It can be acquired in two different
ways (depending on the configuration):
Measured by a thermistor connected to the HSM control
Read on the heat pump control via the CCN bus.

6.3 - Summer mode

The summer mode is automatically activated, based on the
outside air temperature. The summer mode is activated, if
the outside air temperature rises above 'oat_hl1' for a
configurable period ('stop_tmr' parameter of the HL1_CONF
menu, default value 120 minutes i.e. two hours).
The summer mode is deactivated, if the outside air tempe-
rature sinks below 'hl1_oat' – 2K for a configurable period
('starttmr' parameter of the HL1_CONF menu, default value
300 minutes i.e. five hours).
The outside air temperature threshold 'hl1_oat' is entered
in the SETPOINT menu. If the outside air temperature is
not available or missing, the summer mode is forced to NO.

6.4 - Heat pump control

The heat pump is controlled by the HSM via the CCN bus.
For this the CCN operating mode must be selected in the
heat pump control.
The HSM writes the heat pump setpoint and controls the
start-up and stop, based on the heating load and the domestic
hot water production load.
6.4.1 - Control point
The heat pump control point can take the following values
based on the different requirements:
CTRL_PNT = heating setpoint + offset based on the
outside air temperature
CTRL_PNT = domestic hot water setpoint
CTRL_PNT = anti-legionella mode setpoint
An offset can be added to the control point (see 'hp_bias'
parameter in the GEN_CONF menu).

6.5 - Control of the external heat pump water pump

If the external pump has been configured, it starts as confi-
gured ("hppmpsby" parameter in the PUMPCONF menu):
hppmpsby = no:
the pump runs if the heat pump is in the "On" mode.
hppmpsby = yes:
The pump runs only if the compressor runs. If the
compressor has stopped, the pump will be activated for
one minute every five minutes to take an entering water
temperature (EWT) sample.

6.5.1 - Anti-stick function
If the "hppmp_s" parameter in the PUMPCONF menu
has been configured as "yes", the water pump is started for
five seconds every Monday at 12.00 hours.
6.5.2 - Frost protection
If the outside air temperature falls below the frost protec-
tion threshold (see SETPOINT menu), the pump is forced.
This frost protection stops if the outside air temperature
again rises above the frost protection threshold + 1K.

6.6 - Heating of water loop 1

6.6.1 - Pump P1
Water pump P1 is started, if the summer mode is deactivated.
6.6.2 - Anti-stick function
If the "hl1pmp_s" parameter in the PUMPCONF menu
has been configured as "yes", pump P1 is started for five
seconds every Monday at 12.01 hours.
6.6.3 - Heating setpoint
The heating setpoint transmitted to the heat pump can be
determined in two ways:
If 'oat_ctrl' = NO: the heating setpoint is the same as
the setpoint of loop 1 'hl1_stp' in the SETPOINTS
menu.
If 'oat_ctrl' = YES: the heating setpoint is based on
the outside air temperature.
6.6.4 - Summer mode
In summer mode heating of water loop 1 is deactivated.
Pump P1 is stopped.

6.7 - Heating of water loop 2

6.7.1 - Pump P4
Water pump P4 of the second heating loop is started at the
same time as pump P1 of water loop 1.
6.7.2 - Anti-stick function
If 'hl2pmp_s' parameter in the PUMPCONF menu has
been configured as "yes", pump P4 is started for five
seconds every Monday at 12.01 hours.
6.7.3 - Heating setpoint
The heating setpoint transmitted to the heat pump can be
determined in two ways:
If 'oat_ctrl' = NO: the heating setpoint is the same as
the setpoint of loop 1 'hl2_stp' in the SETPOINTS
menu.
If 'oat_ctrl' = YES: the heating setpoint is based on
the outside air temperature.
6.7.4 - Control of mixing valve SV34
Mixing valve SV34 is controlled within 0-10 V by a PID to
control temperature HL2_WT of loop 2 in proportion to
the previously determined setpoint.
6.7.5 - Summer mode
In summer mode heating of water loop 2 is deactivated.
Pump P4 is stopped and mixing valve SV34 is fully closed.
