The Pro-Form Sport 4.0 treadmill may have a burning smell when in use due to excessive wear on the walking belt, improper lubrication, or unauthorized substances applied to the belt or walking platform. The manual advises against using silicone spray or other substances unless instructed by an authorized service representative, as these may deteriorate the belt and cause excessive wear. If the issue persists, checking the front cover of the manual for lubrication instructions or contacting an authorized service representative is recommended.

To fix the incline issue on your Pro-Form Sport 4.0 treadmill, follow these steps to recalibrate the incline system:
1. Insert the key into the console while holding down the Stop button. 2. Release the Stop button. 3. Press the Stop button again, then press the Incline increase or decrease button. 4. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level. 5. If the incline system does not start calibrating, press the Stop button again and then press the Incline increase or decrease button again. 6. Once calibration is complete, remove the key from the console.
This should reset the incline system and resolve the issue.
