The manual call points FDM231-RP and FDM231-RP(F)
are intended for use in places where a fire can be
detected by people who can manually activate an alarm.
The manual call points consist of a back box
FDMH231-S-R and a switching unit FDME231 or
FDME231-FR.
This document is for installation personnel with
professional training in the field of building installation
technology or electrical installations.

Only connect one wire per terminal. This is the
only way to ensure the connection is failure-free
for the entire service life of the device. The
shielding must not touch any external potentials.
1. For ease of handling or to install the housing at a later
stage, you can detach the terminal strip (3) (Fig. 1) from
the switching unit FDME231/FDME231-FR.
2. Connect the feed lines to the terminal strip (3) (Fig. 1) in
accordance with the connection diagram.
If you are using shielded cables, connect the shieldings
to the 'SHIELD' connections.
3. Connect the detached terminal strip to the switching
unit FDME231/FDME231-FR.
4. Insert the switching unit FDME231/FDME231-FR into
the back box FDMH231-S-R, paying attention to the
position of the feed line.
5. Push the switching unit FDME231/FDME231-FR firmly
onto the back box FDMH231-S-R until the locking
device snaps into place.
6. The manual call point is now electrically connected.
