Maintenance and cleaning

Drive unit: The drive unit is maintenance-free but not immune
from wear. The carbon brushes of the motor wear down over time.
For cleaning disconnect the main plug.
To clean the drive use only water with a detergent that contains
tensides, or use isopropylalcohol for stubborn soiling.
Dispersion tools: Consider please the manuals associated to the
dispersion tools.
Spare parts order
When ordering spare parts, please give:
- Machine type
- Manufacturing number, see type plate
- Item and designation of the spare part,
see www.ika.de, spare parts diagram and spare parts list
Repair
In case of repair the device has to be cleaned and free from any
materials which may constitute a health hazard.
If you require servicing, return the appliance in its original packa-
ging. Storage packaging is not sufficient. Please also use suitable
transport packaging.

Speed table

Note: the drive is fitted with control electronics which keep the
speed constant for a wide range of applications. The speed can
only be reduced when the upper limit has been reached (usually
only with highly viscose media and large dispersing elements). You
will need to connect a speed gauge (see "Accessories") if an
exact speed setting and monitoring are required.

3.500 7.000 11.000 15.500 20.000 24.000

The speed table was calculated on the basis of a dispersion volu-
me of 0.1l water using the dispersing element S18N-10G (at nomi-
nal tension 230V respectively 115V). The speeds depend on the
dispersing element used as well as the viscosity and quantity of
the medium. It may, therefore, change over the course of a dis-
persing process if the viscosity of the liquid changes.
