USE AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL

WASHING

(See Fig. F)
1.
Lower the squeegee.
2.
Lower the brush/pad by pressing the related pedal.
3.
Position the solution flow control lever to the
intermediate position.
4.
Turn the on/off key switch*, brush switch and vacuum
switch to "I" position (ON).
5.
Adjust the required working speed with the
potentiometer*.
6.
Grip the operator lever and push the paddle.
– Push paddle forward = machine moves forward;
– Pull paddle in reverse = machine moves in
reverse.
7.
For best results, work at a slow speed or make a
double scrub action.
CAUTION!
To avoid damaging the floor, the brush
motor is automatically switched OFF when
standing on the spot.
8.
An automatic float shut-off system locks the vacuum
system once the recovery tank is full. The machine
will not pick up water with the float closet.
9.
Turn the brush switch OFF before raising the brush.
10. Move the machine to a designated "DISPOSAL
AREA". Empty the recovery tank via the drain hose.
Rinse the tank afterwards with clean water.
DRIVE CONTROL (BA450-530 without
drive motor only)

The forward drive can be adjusted with two set screws on
the brush deck, depending on the floor conditions and on
the use of the brush or the pad.
By turning the knob on the left side of the head it is
possible to adjust the machine speed (with the brush
operating) (clockwise = the machine moves faster).
By turning the adjusting knob on the centre of the head it
is possible to correct the machine side-deviation
(counter-clockwise = the machine moves to the left).

AFTER USE

(See Fig. H)
1.
Turn brush and vacuum switch, and the key (*) to "0"
position (OFF).
2.
Lift the brush/pad-holder deck and the vacuum
squeegee.
3.
Empty the solution and recovery tank into a
designated "DISPOSAL AREA" and rinse with clean
water.

4.
To disengage the brush/pad turn the brush switch (3)
to "I" position (ON) and do not lower the deck on the
floor.
Then, press for a few seconds and release the paddle
(8), the brush/pad will be released automatically.
Rinse it with clean water and store it dry.
5.
Remove the squeegee and rinse it with clean water.
6.
Check the maintenance schedule and perform any
required maintenance before storage.
7.
Store the machine in a clean, dry place.
CAUTION!
Do not tilt the tank backwards before
emptying it.

BATTERY DISCHARGE CONTROL

(See Fig. I)
A special protection device prevents batteries from being
discharged too much.
Flashing RED LIGHT:
Battery must be charged.
Constant RED LIGHT:
Brush motor will stop after 2 minutes.
Vacuum motor will stop after 10 minutes.
Machine should be used again after the batteries are
fully charged.
