Installing the DIM Module

The PL unit has two (2) module sockets and the PS-B unit has one (1). Use the fol-
lowing procedure to install a DIM module in your PL/PS-B unit.
Be aware that commercial DIM module specifications may differ from mod-
ules made by Digital Electronics Corporation and their performance cannot
be guaranteed.
To prevent an electric shock or PL/PS-B unit damage, confirm
that the PL/PS-B unit's power switch has been turned OFF be-
fore installing the DIM module.
Since DIM module sockets are fragile and can break easily, be sure to
install the DIM module carefully.
Since static electricity can damage sensitive electronic parts, be careful
when installing a DIM module.
To prevent damage from static electricity, be sure to wear a wristband,
or similar static protection device when installing the memory module. If
no wristband is available, please touch the PL/PS-B unit's metal chassis
prior to installing the module to stabilize your body's electrical potential.
