JAM CLEARANCE
m Warning! Always disconnect the air before clearing a
jammed fastener.
Note: Never remove jammed fasteners with the nose of
the tool facing up. Fasteners can drop into the cylinder.
Always lay the tool on its side.
MIIIFS (Fig. 12):
1. Remove all flooring staples from the magazine
2. Loosen the four screws in the front of the nose. This will
loosen the magazine so it can be partially separated
away from the nose. If the driver is visible at the tip of
the nose, tap it up using a hammer and a punch.
3. Using pliers, pull the jammed staple out of the nose.
Depending on jam severity, it may be necessary to
completely remove the four screws and magazine to
expose the jam, but this is rare.
4. Tighten the four nose screws. Attach the MIIIFS to an
air supply and test a few cycles without flooring staples
loaded to be sure the driver channel is clear.
MIIIFN (Fig. 13):
1. Remove all flooring cleats from the magazine
2. Remove the three screws from the front nose
3. Remove the chrome nose plate and nose assembly. This
will expose all potential jam areas. If the jam is between
the nose plate and nose assembly they may be difficult
to remove. It may be necessary to separate the two
parts with flat head screw driver to relieve the stress
from the jammed fastener.
4. Replace the nose plate and nose assembly, replace the
three screws. Attach the MIIIFN to an air supply and test
a few cycles without flooring cleats loaded to be sure
the driver channel is clear.
