Using the Easy-start feature beyond the initial ramp-up period is not
recommended and reduces the effectiveness of the Sonicare in
removing plaque.
The Easy-start feature should be deactivated when the Sonicare is used
in clinical trials.
Smartimer\ 2-minute timer
All Sonicare models come with the Smartimer feature, which
automatically sets the brushing time to the 2 minutes
recommended by dental professionals.After these 2 minutes, your
Sonicare will automatically switch off. If you wish to brush for a
longer period, simply press the on/off button and another 2-minute
cycle will start.
If you wish to pause or stop brushing during your 2-minute cycle,
press the on/off button. If you press the on/off button again, the
Smartimer will resume where you left off.
The Smartimer will automatically reset to the beginning of a 2-minute
B
cycle if:
- brushing is paused for 30 seconds or longer;
- the handle is returned to the charger.
Quadpacer\ 30-second interval timer
The Quadpacer feature ensures that you brush all sections of
your mouth evenly and thoroughly.At 30-second intervals (at 30,
60 and 90 seconds in case of a 2-minute brushing cycle), you will
hear a short beep and notice a brief pause in brushing action.This
is your signal to move to the next section of your mouth.
Programmable Quadpacer timer (specific models only)
The Programmable Quadpacer timer allows you to customise the
Quadpacer performance in 1 of 3 ways:
You may opt to keep the factory default setting of a 2-minute
brushing time with Programmable Quadpacer beeps activated.
You may choose to extend your brushing time to 2 1/2 minutes
by adding an additional 30-second interval.
You may choose a 2-minute brushing time, but with the
Quadpacer beeps deactivated.
To change the Programmable Quadpacer settings:

Place the handle in the charger that is plugged into a live
socket.
