Electronic ignition self-test

The electronic ignition for the gas
cooktop carries out a self-test as soon
as the first burner is switched on or the
last burner is switched off. The self-test
lasts about 1.5 seconds. If the self-test
is interrupted, this is considered as an
error by the electronics and the
illuminated ring on the control knob will
flash. The control knob for the Teppan
Yaki plate is also equipped with an
illuminated ring. This illuminated ring
does not flash if the self-test was
interrupted.
The following situations can cause this
error:
– You switch on the first burner.
Immediately after switching on
(during the self-test) you switch the
burner off and another one on. This
interrupts the self-test. The
illuminated ring on the control knob
will flash.
– You switch the last burner off.
Immediately after switching off you
switch a burner on again. The
illuminated ring on the control knob
will flash.
In any case, the gas supply is cut off
to prevent gas from escaping.
The cooktop can be used again after
approx. 1.5 seconds if the control knob
is turned to the  position (Off).
Special requirements HR 1956
