It must be observed that these insulating sticks are also used in other fields of
application and the enclosed instructions for use may only be suitable to a limited
extent for use with the operating head. In this case, only these instructions for use
apply.

3.2.1 Handle with gear coupling

For installations up to 1000 V / 15-60 Hz and 1500 V / d.c.
Attach the HG ZK 230 handle to the gear coupling of the operating head and firmly tighten
the knurled screw (see Fig. 3). Ensure that the teeth of the coupling elements engage with one
another. The black ring at the handle provides a visible barrier between the handle and the
insulating element. To position the digital camera at parts of the installation which are difficult
to access, the handle can be extended by additional extensions from the DEHN insulating stick
portfolio (see 10.).

3.2.2 Insulating sticks with gear coupling

For installations up to 36 kV / 15-60 Hz
Attach the IS (T) 36 ZK STK 1300 insulating stick to the gear coupling of the operating head
and firmly tighten the knurled screw (see Fig. 5). Ensure that the teeth of the coupling elements
engage with one another. To position the digital camera at parts of the installation which are
difficult to access, the IS (T) 36 ZK STK 1300 insulating stick can be extended in the insertion
depth area (insulating stick extensions) and handle area (extension handles) (see 10.).
