Except w hen aiming for special effects, first focus the lens with
t he zoom ring at m aximum tele photo, then zoom . Use man ual
zoom to det ermine composition or when you wish t o obtain
special effects by q uic kl y changing from te lephoto to wid e-angle
or vice versa.

Panning, tilting and zooming should only occasionally be used
for special effects . Otherwise the movie wi ll be unstable.
