Creating the Radio Link (Pairing)

The FD 100 needs to be linked to the Gateway / device to be con-
trolled; this only has to be carried out once. This is the procedure:
• Set your machine / RC Gateway to Pairing mode, as described
in the instructions supplied with it.
• Open the System Settings menu on the FD 100 with a long
press on the 
• Select the "Start Pairing" point. The remote control handset now
automatically searches for the device / RC Gateway.
• When it locates the device / RC Gateway, the screen displays
the message 'Pairing successful'. If you wish, the name of the
device / RC Gateway can be changed at this point.
• Press the 
• In the following step you can assign the device / RC Gateway to
a Hotkey for faster access.
• Select a button (or no button, if you prefer), then confirm your
choice by pressing the 
• The FD 100 is now linked to the device, and is ready for use.
If it proves impossible to create a radio link, there may be several
reasons. The possible errors are listed in the following table:
