Setting up, connections

First Use

For your own safety please consider it essential to read these
operating instructions right through, and observe in particular the
notes regarding setting up, operation and safety.
Carefully unpack the devices and remove the protective film of the
remote control handset. Store the original packing materials
carefully. The carton and packing are specially designed for this
unit and will be needed again if you wish to move the equipment at
any time.
If the unit gets very cold (e. g. when being transported),
condensation may form inside it. Please do not switch it on until it
has had plenty of time to warm up to room temperature, so that
any condensation evaporates completely.
The surfaces of the case should be wiped clean with a soft, dry
cloth only. Never use solvent-based or abrasive cleaners!
Protect the unit from drips and splashes of water.
The docking station has two purposes: it acts as a holder for the
FD 100, and it recharges the integral battery. Since the docking
station has no connection to the  device, it can be set up
separately, e.g. close to the listening area.
Connect the plug-type mains PSU to the station using the USB
lead supplied in the set, then plug the PSU into a 230 Volt mains
socket.
