Selecting a source

Function buttons

Area for displaying playback information and symbols.
    
The table below explains the symbols which are displayed.
   
Indicates that the device is playing a music track
Indicates 'Pause'
Rewind and fast forward / search
Random playback
Repeat function

Track repeat function

Since the FD 100 is designed to operate many different machines,
it features no direct source select buttons; the source is selected
by pressing the yellow 
screen which includes only the available sources. The source is
selected

In contrast to otherremote control handsets, the function
buttons 

handset are arranged at the top, below the screen. Depending on
the machine being controlled, these buttons can be dynamically
assigned, i.e. the current function is displayed on the screen above
each button. Only the function buttons required for the selected
source are displayed.
If you are using the handset to control a  device which does
not support dynamic button assignment, the buttons are always
displayed as F1 to F4. In this case the function of the buttons is as
described in the instructions supplied with the machine in question.
