2 Connect GPIB Cables to the 82351A. Connect a separate
GPIB cable to each installed 82351A. Tighten the GPIB
connector screws finger- tight only. (The screwdriver slots
are mainly for removal purposes only.) Two examples
follow showing how to connect a single GPIB instrument
or how to connect multiple GPIB instruments.

Example: Connecting a single GPIB instrument
Figure 1- 9 shows connections from a single GPIB instrument
to the GPIB connector of an 82351A installed in your PC.
You may want to record the primary GPIB address of the
attached instrument for future programming use. After
making the connections, reconnect the PC power cord and
apply power to the PC and to attached peripherals or
instruments.
To avoid damage to the connectors, only finger-tighten the connectors.
