When the hour hand passes at midnight, the calendar will automatical-
ly show a new date, either the date of the next day, or the date of the
day before, depending on the direction in which the hour hand is turned.
Date correction is required for months with fewer than 31 days.
Press the crown back into the normal position (1).
3. Fully pulled out
Pulling out the crown fully to position (3) stops the second hand.
Set the time by turning the hands as required.
By turning the crown, the 24 hour dial also moves.
At the sound of the time signal (telephone, radio, TV) return the crown
to the normal position (1).
How to use your 24 Time Zone Longines watch
1. Pull out the crown to position (3) to stop the second hand.
2. Turn the crown in the required direction so that your local time (win-
ter time) is set to the 24 hour dial lined up with the geographical loca-
tion of your time zone.
3. Press the crown into position (2) and set the hour hand to local time
while ensuring that the date changes at midnight. Press the crown in
fully.

4. Your watch is now set to universal time with the 24 hour dial and to
local time with the hands.
Example: On 23 February in Paris, the GMT (London) is at 12 o'clock,
the hands show eight minutes past 10 a.m., and the number 10 on the
dial is lined up with Paris.
Instructions for when travelling
Pull the crown out to the intermediate position (2). Set the hour hand
according to the time zone of the location you are in (see the list of loca-
tion). Press the crown in fully. Certain countries are on summer time; to
set your watch proceed in the same manner.
Example: On 23 February in Tokyo, the GMT (London) is at 12 o'clock,
