- Page 2 etherCON NE8MX-TOP Slide the cable with the tool throught the boot. Remove the tool. ASSEMBLY RJ45 PLUG AND CONNECTOR Assembl the RJ45 plug on the cable. Cut off release tab of RJ45 plug. chuck onto the cable. Align the opening with the contact side. STANDARD VERSION Position the RJ45 in the chuck.
