Cause
Battery is low.
Auto shutoff timing.
Battery is dead.
Printer cover was opened during
printing/feeding function.
Incorrect label material/ribbon
combination.
Battery pack may be worn out
and not properly holding a
charge.
Ribbon and label supply are
incompatible.
Ribbon or label supply are
installed incorrectly.
Dust or adhesives accumulated
on the print head.
The label or ribbon is not loaded
correctly.
Out of ribbon.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Corrective Action
Attach the AC Adapter to the
printer and plug into an electrical
outlet. This will supply
immediate power while charging
the battery at the same time.
Adjust the Shut Off Delay timing
in the Setup>Config menu. (See
"Config (Printer Configuration)"
on page
26.)
Attach the AC adapter to provide
power to the printer and charge
the battery.
OR
Install a new battery.
Reinstall ribbon and label
supply.
Press [CLEAR/ESC] key to clear
error.
Verify the correct ribbon for the
label roll is loaded in the printer.
Battery life is approximately one
to three years, depending on its
use and care. Order a
replacement battery pack.
Change the ribbon or label
combination.
Review the instructions for
"Loading Supplies" on page
Clean the print head. (Refer to
"Cleaning the Printer" on
page 83
for instructions.)
Review the instructions for
"Loading Supplies" on page
Load a new ribbon.
