When Making a Cascade Connection

With the S-2416, you can make a cascade connection using the REAC BACKUP port.
This section gives an overview of the settings when connecting the V-Mixer with a cascade connection to an S-1608 unit.

V-Mixer settings
Set the REAC mode to FOH A (External Clock) or FOH B (External
Clock).
NOTE
• Word-clock frequencies that can be used for synchronization are
96, 48, and 44.1 kHz.
• Some V-Mixer models do not support 96 kHz.

V-Mixer settings
Set the REAC mode to FOH.
S-1608 settings
Set the [REAC MODE] switch to S (slave).
NOTE
Change the setting of the [REAC MODE] switch and [MODE]
switch while the S-2416 is powered down.
With these connections and settings, the S-2416 adds the 16 inputs
of the S-1608 after the S-2416's 24 inputs, and sends them to the
V-Mixer.
