  • Page 70 Remove the RJ-45 jack cover (4). The USB bracket and RJ-45 jack cover are available in the Bracket Kit as spare part number L77264-001. Rotate the right side of the system board upward (1). Pull the system board away from the connectors on the side of the chassis to remove it from the computer (2).

    Display assembly Before disassembling the display assembly, follow these steps: Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 33). Place the computer in Battery Safe mode (Battery Safe mode on page 33). Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 34).
  • Page 72 Open the display to an approximate 90° angle (2), and then separate the display from the computer (3). Flex the top (1) of the bezel, the inside edges of the left and right sides (2), and the bottom (3) of the bezel until it disengages from the display enclosure.
  • Page 73 Remove the display bezel (4). The bezel is available as spare part number L78090-001 for models without a camera, L78091-001 for models with an HD camera, and L78092-001 for models with a HD + IR camera. The display panel is secured to the display enclosure with tape that is installed under the left and right sides of the panel.
  • Page 74 Rotate the display panel over and place next to the display enclosure (4). Display panels are available as the following spare part numbers: L78066-001: HD panel L78067-001: FHD panel, nonprivacy L78068-001: FHD panel, privacy L78068-001: FHD panel, touch-on panel (TOP) Lift the tape from the connector on the display panel (1), lift the locking lever (2), and then disconnect the cable from the panel (3).
  • Page 75 Remove the panel (4). Use the following steps to install a display panel: Remove the backing from the bottom of the new tape to install in the display enclosure (1). Locate the tape alignment marks, and then install the tape onto the left and right sides on the inside of the enclosure (2).
  • Page 76 Rotate the panel into place in the display enclosure. If it is necessary to remove or replace the HD camera, disconnect the cable from the camera (1), and then peel the silver tape up to remove the module from the enclosure (2). The HD camera is available as spare part number L81889-001.
  • Page 77 If it is necessary to remove or replace the IR camera, disconnect the cable from the right (1) and left (2) sides of the camera, and then peel the camera module up to remove it from the adhesive that secures it to the enclosure (3) .

If it is necessary to replace the WLAN antennas, remove the cables from the clips in the bottom of the enclosure (1), and then peel the antennas and remove them from the display enclosure (2). WLAN antennas are available as spare part number L78070-001.
  • Page 79 If it is necessary to replace the WWAN antennas, remove the cables from the clips in the bottom of the enclosure (1), and then peel the antennas and remove them from the display enclosure (2).
