6.2 Commissioning the SITRANS I300

● Only open the device in a de-energized state.
● Check prior to commissioning that the cover, cover locks, and cable inlets are assembled
Exception: Devices having the type of protection "Intrinsic safety Ex i" may also be opened in
energized state in hazardous areas.

Commissioning the SITRANS I300
Termination switch on primary side
Note
Bus termination
It is possible to operate several SITRANS I300 in series. The faraway SITRANS I300 must be
terminated. To terminate the SITRANS I300 set the termination switch to ON. The termination
switch is located on the primary side (top) of the SITRANS I300.
Note
Unique EIA-485 address
Make sure that each EIA-485 device has a unique EIA-485 address.
